Usage Limits & Overages
The Starter plan has a monthly limit on the total refund volume processed. Here's how it works.
How Limits Work
The limit is based on the total USD value of refund requests processed in a rolling monthly period. Each time RefundShield processes a refund request and responds to the store (Apple or Google), the transaction's purchase price is counted toward your monthly limit.
- Starter: $1,000 USD / month
- Pro: Unlimited
Currency Conversion
Since App Store and Google Play purchases happen in many currencies, all amounts are converted to USD using daily exchange rates. The rates are updated automatically every day.
What Happens When You Reach the Limit?
When you reach your monthly limit on the Starter plan:
- RefundShield stops responding to new refund notifications
- The events are still logged in your dashboard so you don't miss anything
- Existing responses already sent to the store are not affected
- The limit resets monthly on the same day you first subscribed
Tracking Your Usage
You can see your current usage at any time:
- Go to Billing
- The usage bar shows how much of your monthly limit you've used
Upgrading to Avoid Limits
If you're consistently hitting the Starter limit, consider upgrading to Pro for unlimited processing. You can upgrade instantly from the Billing page.
